I agree completely. My OBGYN prescribed Estrodial cream for my female parts ONLY. I was getting burning and constant urination, along with shrinking. I am even hesitant about using it there. But my Dr. says it's localized and will help me. I have cleared my symptoms with it. But don't like HRT.

Thank you, I will stop recommending it to friends unless they get bloods tested. Interesting that you say it can make people aggressive as i am horrible when I FORGET to take my DHEA, and I have ZERO tolerance, become grumpy and rash ,! (Totally against my usual placid character, i am known by friends to usually be the most tolerant person they know!) 25 mg daily is perfect for me. (Prescribed by my Hormone doctor, based on blood tests , where all my hormones were so low they were almost 0 ! ) I have super low blood pressure, so if it increases that that would be fantastic, but after 3 years on DHEA I still suffer low BP. DHEA not help sex drive, but testogel has worked a treat, and is helping with building muscle, I put a small amount on my skin daily. OK now I need to research melatonin, incase I need that too.

Hi , I'm being prescribed DHEA 25 mg . I had a total hysterectomy back in 1998. I was on Premarin high doses for about 10 years now I haven't had any kind of hormone replacement for 25 years. I'm only 50 years old they are giving me W-Biest 50/50 cream right now through Winonna. I didn't ask for DHEA and my levels have never been tested . I haven't taken it yet because I was frightened because I'm on high doses of Prednisone and I read that they can counteract each other does any of this make sense to you

It's fascinating that there are individuals who have x,x chromosomes, and, appear a perfectly healthy male. This is called x,x male syndrome or De LaChappelle syndrome. It happens when a single gene from the fathers Y chromosome is copied onto one of the two x chromosomes. People born this condition may identify as either male or female, because the gendered anatomy of the brain do not develop at the same time as the gonads, and both are sensitive to the hormonal environment present at the time they develop. Occasionally, that environment differs from what usually occurs. So, a persons gender is not chosen, it's set before birth just as the external anatomy is. I have learned not to use any gendered terms around any strangers, because you just don’t know how they identify, and the chances of making them feel unhappy are large if you get things wrong. There are so many other terms that can be used to convey your gratitude and respect for another human without gendering them.

I am a well informed RN, 72 years old and still working at the bedside. Medicare doesn’t pay for the Climara Pro patches I had used since menopause. In desperation, I ran to a local nurse practitioner to get the estrogen/testosterone pellet implants with oral micronized progesterone. I made it through two implant cycles with a brand new rapid onset of atrial arrhythmia that looked a lot like a heart block. Heart blocks are bad because all of a sudden your atrial pacemaker just quits working & the bottom half of your heart takes over. then you get to go to the emergency room and maybe the morgue after that. Who knew that we have estrogen receptors in our heart and the endothelial tissue that lines our blood vessels? Four months after my last implant, I’m mostly in a normal sinus rhythm with occasional runs of premature atrial contractions. Atrial fibrillation may be in my future now because that part of my heart has been sensitized. I agree with the speaker. You were just lucky, so far.

I am a 65 yr old female, nearly 6 years carnivore and in the best health if my life, healing many disorders. HS-CRP under 1, fasting insulin is 3, BP 100/ 60, high HDL low TG, AST/ALT in the low 20's and low teens, I could go on detailing my excellent labs (which I order myself). I see no docs, I take no pharma or supplements. Every disease you mention is associated with insulin resistance due to carb consumption. Nothing to do with genetics. I will never have another scan or mammogram again.

An agenda is being pushed... And it's false. Science is clear on this. Men can't have babies ~ ever. Grey zones need their own olympics and sports division. Otherwise, it's abuse plain and simple 👍🏻 I think some people have a mental disconnect to their physical gender and need psychological help to accept their it. All these additional terms are mental and should be dealt with that way. Some of the medical terms are appropriate but when it comes to all of these terms... See a therapist to help you accept that you are what you were born with. I know girls who hated being a girl for years... boys as well, all for social reasons. And over time, they got through the emotional & psychological challenges that they were troubled with, specifically during pubescence. Those persons born trans, they are the ones that we need to include in respectful ways such as their own changing room, sports division, ect NOT inclusive like allowing them on the women's boxing team to beat a woman up (that's ultimately what it is).

Sorry I’m not going along with this nonsense. I’m tired of going into the women’s bathroom and finding men in there. So now I have to explain to my little granddaughter why there is a man in the ladies room, (who may even have autogynephilia). She can’t understand these things. Now, he is free to FEEL how he wants to feel. However, his feelings should not dictate how the rest of us need to behave. We women fought long and hard to get where we are today. So now, we are being pressured into feeling uncomfortable in what is our space and guilty for it. All because some man is confused and uncomfortable in his own skin. That’s on him sorry to say. Doctor, I’m also sorry that young man at Starbucks took offense to your saying, “man”. It’s commonly still used in speech, (I say it too), but he assumed you meant harm. Couldn’t he have at least given you that?

Twelve years ago my local Y started allowing men in the women’s locker room. There was a man in a wig and skirt who came in at the end of the swim class when the maximum number of women would be naked. The second time, I marched right to the membership office and quit. How is this respectful to women? We need safe spaces. I also take issue with men in women’s sports. If this keeps up women will no longer be in sports at all.

I weigh 145 pounds at 5’6 I’ve been told I’m not eligible for weight loss drugs. I have been fighting the same 10 pounds without much success. Exercise in the morning and evening (cardio) I lift weights 3 times a week. I eat a plant-based diet with a decent amount of protein, but probably could do better. Due to mild colitis, I can’t eat a lot of meat or dairy. However, I felt so much better when I had the 10 pounds off. Since I just turned 50, I’m wondering if I have a hormonal issue and perhaps it’s not related to my lifestyle or trying a weight loss or diet drugs?!

I'd like to add something about 'PMDD'.... All my menstruating life I had very predictable periods & mild PMS. Then, don't remember exactly at what age, maybe late 30s early 40s I turned into a raging bitch. Was able to find a clinic to do hormone testing & found out I had low progesterone. They prescribed a natural P suppository for 2 weeks in the cycle & it was like magic! It lined me out & I was normal again. That awakened me to bio-HRT...

I have an Estriadol patch and a prescription for it. I'm 65. Had a full hysterectomy at 52. Had my uterus removed at 38. I wore one patch and got cramps so I stopped. My doctor put me on a .025 patch. It actually made a difference in vaginal dryness in 5 days. Im not in a relationship currently but I want to be and want to have sex. I want to put my patch back on but my doctor did not run any tests prior to going on the patch to have any sort of baseline. I live in Maryland and would be happy to call in if you can treat me. If cramps are normal when starting Estriadol, I'll put the patch back on. Thank you for all you do!
